20-40 minutes. No technique. No mantra. No app. kappa = 0.

The Practice

Sit down. Close your eyes. Do nothing.

That is the complete instruction.

No technique to master. No mantra to repeat. No breath count to maintain. No visualization. No body scan. No app guiding you through stages. No bell at the beginning. No bell at the end (use a timer if you want one, but the timer is for you, not for the practice).

Duration: 20-40 minutes. Less than 20 is warming up. More than 40 is indulgence.

What Happens

Consciousness oscillates between two states:

Qubit state (superposition): Open awareness. No particular object of attention. Potential without collapse. You are aware of everything and nothing in particular. This is the default state when you stop efforting.

Bit state (resolution): A thought, sensation, image, or memory collapses into focus. You are now attending to something specific. Perception sharpens. Content appears.

The cycle:

Qubit (open) -> Bit (collapsed) -> Recognition -> Release -> Qubit (open)

Perception collapses potential into actuality. Imagination returns actuality to potential. The cycle IS thought. You do not need to manage it. You do not need to prevent it. You observe it.

kappa = 0

The extraction rate of the practice is zero. There is nothing to get. No optimal coherence to achieve. No state to attain. No progress to measure. No teacher to impress. No tradition to serve.

kappa = 0 is the practice-level expression of K* = 0. Just as the protocol extracts nothing from its users, the practice extracts nothing from its practitioners. It is complete in itself.

What This Is Not

• Not meditation. Meditation implies a method. This has none.
• Not mindfulness. Mindfulness implies directed attention. This has none.
• Not relaxation. You may relax. You may not. That is not the point.
• Not therapy. If you need therapy, get therapy. This is not a substitute.
• Not game-theoretic. No metaphysical claims. No system architecture. No guru.

What This Is

The direct investigation of systemic awareness by systemic awareness. Nothing is added. Nothing is removed. The substrate (your body-mind) is observed by the only observer available (your body-mind). Recursion without regress.

Connection to the System

The entire Skyzai architecture is built on one observation: coherence (Phi) and viability (V) are multiplicative. The sitting practice is where you verify this for yourself. When Phi is high (coherent awareness) and V is high (stable, rested body), P is high. When either drops to zero, P drops to zero.

You do not need the system to do the practice. You do not need the practice to use the system. But if you want to understand why P = Φ × V is not just an equation but an experience, sit down and close your eyes.

Grace Exit

If this practice does not serve you, stop. If you can access phi directly without sitting, stop sitting. The practice is a ladder built to be climbed then set aside. See E1 Decentralized Authority Model.
