Scope: stable Work POS compatibility reference. Its settlement capability is parked and merges into Twins; this is not a standalone SKU or current offer. See The Product Family.

Current disposition
POS is a parked compatibility surface for receipt-native checkout design. A Natural buyer authorizes the payer act; the Legal merchant separately acts through lawful external authority and its required executor. The two acts must match their own authorization bindings before bilateral settlement evidence can exist.
No checkout or settlement is live. The O3 Twins proof must first demonstrate a lawful merchant, distinct executor, unaffiliated Natural payer, bilateral reconciliation, and repeat payer. POS cannot bypass or substitute for that gate.
What It Is Not
- Not a payment institution claim
- Not a bank, card network, or licensed acquirer
- No custody overclaim — the rail handles settlement; we record the evidence
- No guaranteed settlement beyond what the rail itself provides
- No hidden consumer fee — η = 0 on the consumer path
